Mariners are advised that the lower Chesapeake Bay has been closed to vessel traffic due to the arrival of Hurricane Dorian in the Coast Guard Sector Maryland-NCR Captain of the Port Zone. The waters of Ocean City Inlet, Isle of Wight Bay, Assawoman Bay, Sinepuxent Bay and the Chesapeake Bay south of Blackwalunt Point (located at the southernmost tip of Tilghman Island, MD) are closed to all vessel traffic. This closure may impact vessel traffic transiting the C&D canal. Mariners are advised to plan accordingly. See Sector Maryland-NCR MSSB 18-19 (attached) for further information.
