Force Protection Posture Awareness for
Anniversary death of Osama Bin Laden

As we approach the 1st Anniversary of the death of Osama Bin Laden on May 2, 2012 all port partners are reminded to remain vigilant for any suspicious activities and work together with Coast Guard and law enforcement partners to ensure the integrity of standard security measures. The Maritime Security (MARSEC) level remains at MARSEC 1, however, maritime industry is highly encouraged to raise awareness and review their plans and reporting procedures. In this period of heightened global tension the maritime industry and port stakeholders are advised to maintain the security measures associated with MARSEC 1 and report suspicious activity immediately to Sector Delaware Bay’s 24 hour Command Center at 215-271-4940.
