SCW- Port Community help. The Seamen’s Center of Wilmington is seeking MAC members` assistance with two items for this year’s “Last Bash of Summer” fundraiser. The festivities will take place at Dockland’s Riverside (same location, new name) on September 11, 2018 starting at 4.30 pm. If you’re not familiar with the event, see the attached flyer for more information.

The first opportunity to help comes in the form of an invitation-only Bethany Beach house raffle. Chances are $100, but the Center is selling only 40, so the odds of winning are pretty high. The house has five bedrooms (sleeps 14) and will be available the week of June 15-22, 2019. See the attached flyer for details, and contact scw@scwde.org or call 302-575-1300 to purchase your tickets. Note that only half the chances remain so be sure to act soon if you’re interested!

The second request involves donations for the “Cooler O’Cheer,” which is one of the most popular prizes of the “premier” raffle. If you have any unopened bottles of wine, clear or brown liquors, liqueurs, or beer, you’d like to regift, or if you’re willing to purchase a bottle, you can drop donations at the Center (located in the Port of Wilmington) or at the Maritime Exchange office in Phila (240 Cherry Street -- can park out front to drop it off).
