SEASONAL ICE PROCEDURES
END OF ICE SEASON

The Captain of the Port (COTP), Delaware Bay is notifying mariners that Ice Season 2017-2018 for the Delaware Bay Captain of the Port Zone has officially ended.

The COTP, Delaware Bay would like to thank all maritime partners who provided ice reports throughout the ice season. The ice reports we received from waterfront facilities, vessels and bridges made it possible for the Coast Guard to make sound decisions regarding ice breaking operations and navigational restrictions. Together we were able to mitigate impacts to commerce and maintain the safe operation of the port.
