SEASONAL ICE PROCEDURES
END OF ICE SEASON

The Captain of the Port (COTP), Delaware Bay is notifying mariners that Ice Season 2015-16 for the Delaware Bay Captain of the Port Zone has officially ended.

The COTP Delaware Bay would like to thank all maritime partners who provided ice reports to Sector Delaware Bay throughout the Ice Season. The ice reports we received from waterfront facilities, vessels, and bridges made it possible for the Coast Guard to make sound decisions regarding ice breaking operations and navigational restrictions. Together, we were able to mitigate impacts to commerce and maintain the safe operation of the port.
