MSIB 17-26 Marcus Hook Dredging and Anchorage Reservations

The Captain of the Port (COTP), Sector Delaware Bay, is notifying mariners that the Coast Guard is enforcing three safety zones, in Marcus Hook Anchorage and Mantua Creek Anchorage, to facilitate the Philadelphia to Sea Maintenance Dredging. Maintenance dredging will be conducted in Marcus Hook Range and Marcus Hook Anchorage (No. 7) on the Delaware River on September 3, 2026, through approximately October 31, 2026.

Vessels/vessel agents desiring to make a reservation for Marcus Hook Anchorage, please be reminded that a vessel must be at least 650 feet in overall length and must make the reservation at least 24 hours in advance, by contacting the Sector Delaware Bay Command Center at (833) 453-1007. The COTP will permit, at maximum, two vessels at a time on a “first come, first served” basis in the anchorage. During this time, vessels will not normally be permitted to occupy the anchorage beyond 12 hours.
