Mariners are advised that an engineering firm, on behalf of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, will be performing roadway maintenance on the Girard Point Bridge across the Schuylkill River, in Philadelphia, PA. The roadway maintenance will be conducted from July 20, 2026, through April 21, 2031. A temporary barrier will be installed five feet under the bridge roadway decking. This temporary barrier will reduce the vertical clearance of the navigation channel from 135 feet at mean high water to 130 feet at mean high water. A safety vessel will be on scene during daylight hours and may be reached on VHF-FM channels 13 and 16. The project foreman can be reached at (856) 498-8107.
