Philadelphia Cup Regatta, Delaware River

All mariners are advised that a sailing regatta will occur on the Delaware River in the vicinity of Benjamin Franklin Bridge on September 27, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The north point of the race area will be at Delaware River Lighted Buoy 78 (Light List Number 3620) at approximate GPS position 39° 58.448’N; 75° 5.697’W extending south to Pier 38 in Philadelphia at approximate GPS position 39° 56.179’N 75° 8.166’W. A special local regulation will be enforced for the duration of the event restricting access to the race area. Mariners attempting to transit the race area must contact on-scene safety vessels a minimum of 1 hour prior to transiting the race area. The safety vessels can be contacted via VHF radio channels 13 and 16. Mariners are urged to transit the area with extreme caution at the slowest safe speed to maintain navigation and minimize wake.
