Safety Zone Restrictions, Delaware River, Tioga Marine Terminal

The Captain of the Port Sector Delaware Bay has established a safety zone that covers all navigable waters of the Delaware River 100 yards upriver and 100 yards downriver of Tioga Marine Terminal. The following restrictions have been set for all vessels transiting the safety zone. Only one vessel can transit the safety zone at a time at the slowest safe speed to maintain navigation and minimize wake. All vessels are requested to favor the red side of the channel. Vessels with a draft greater than 20 feet and a length overall greater than 500 feet are required to contact the Coast Guard via phone at (215) 271-4807 to give a 1-hour notification prior to transiting the safety zone.
