(Per: NOAA). Scaffolding on the Chesapeake City Bridge will be installed this week. The air gap sensor on the Bridge has already been reduced by 18 inches in anticipation of the scaffolding being in place. Work will commence in May 2022 and is scheduled to be completed in the Fall 2022. When installed, the scaffolding will be in place for only half the bridge at a time. The side where there is no scaffolding will have full clearance with no reduction in air gap.
