Commodore Barry Bridge work(per USCG):Mariners are advised that an engineering firm, on behalf of Delaware River Port Authority, will be performing maintenance on the US 322 (Commodore Barry) Bridge, over Delaware River, mile 81.2, between Chester, PA and Bridgeport, NJ. The maintenance will be conducted from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Monday-Friday; from 6 a.m. on April 29, 2021, through 4 p.m. on December 17, 2021. Several work boats will be located around the vicinity of the bridge. During the maintenance period, work platforms will be located on both bridge piers inside the navigational channel, these work platforms will reduce the horizontal clearance of the bridge by approximately 6 feet (approximately 3 feet per pier) to approximately 1594 feet. Vessels that can safely transit through the bridge during periods with a reduced horizontal clearance may do so at any time. Maintenance personnel and vessels will relocate from the navigable channel, upon request. Work vessels may be reached on VHF-FM channel 13 and 16. Mariners should use caution navigating through the area.
