LOST ANCHOR IN ANCHORAGE 11 AT GLOUCESTER

The Captain of the Port, Delaware Bay, is notifying mariners of an anchor that has been lost in Anchorage 11 at Gloucester, in the Delaware River, in approximate location, latitude 39 ° 53.764N, longitude 075° 07.903W. The anchor dimensions are approximately 3 feet by 3 feet and the anchor has 400 feet of 3” line attached. Mariners are advised to use extreme caution when transiting this portion of Anchorage 11. Minimum depth at this anchor at location is 41 feet at mean low low water.

Vessels drafting over 35 feet should avoid this area and transit around the object.

Survey vessels will be in the vicinity of the object over the next week and thereafter while salvage operations are being conducted. Vessels are requested to contact working vessels in this location on VHF Channel 16 and make safe passing arrangements prior to arrival at this location.
