Mantua Creek Anchorage Partial Closure

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company will commence mobilization for dredging operations with the
Dredge FLORIDA, in the Delaware River in the Mifflin and Billingsport Ranges on December 2, 2012. This work is anticipated to last approximately until December 31, 2012. The Dredge FLORIDA will be working along with several support barges and tugs to install approximately 8000 feet of submerged pipeline and approximately 3000 feet of floating pipeline.

A pipe will be laid across the channel in the vicinity of and through the lower portion of the Mantua Creek Anchorage. The southern third of the Mantua Creek Anchorage below position 39o 51.487 N – 075o 13.443 W will be closed to vessels intending to anchor. Mariners are encouraged to utilize anchorages downriver as alternatives. Mariners are requested to contact the dredge 1 hour prior to passage. The Dredge FLORIDA can be contacted via cell at 630-418-8511 for passing information.
