CARGO TRANSFER NOTIFICATIONS

The Captain of the Port Sector Delaware Bay reminds all fixed and mobile facilities regulated under 33 Code of Federal Regulations Part 154 and 156, that cargo transfer notifications are required to be sent to Sector Delaware Bay a minimum of 4 hours prior to transfer. If possible it is requested that be sent at least 24 hours or more prior to. This notification is required for all Mobile Transfer Facilities (MTF), and all fixed facilities that transfer oil or hazardous material in bulk. MTF’s may not conduct transfer operations until advanced notice has been given as specified in this bulletin.

Notices must be in writing and can be e-mailed to SECDELBAYTRANSFERS@uscg.mil. Notification should include the name of the vessel, the name of the product, the amount being transferred, the start/end date and time of transfer, the location of the transfer, and the name of the facility conducting the transfer. This bulletin is being issued under authority of 33CFR156.118.
